About Doris

Doris Gothard, Wealth Seminar speaker ,Self-Improvement Book author, black womenDORIS GOTHARD was born in Huntsville, Alabama. Doris is married to Donald, and she has one son, LeWayne. Doris and Donald live in Washington, Michigan, northeast of Detroit.

Doris grew up on a farm and worked in the Alabama cotton fields. She earned a degree in Pure Mathematics with a minor in Engineering from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She taught mathematics at the college level and advanced calculus to high school and college preparatory students.

Doris began her business career in 1977 when she joined General Motors. In 1986, Doris transferred to the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Corporation to support marketing and sales efforts.

Doris is the recip­i­ent of the 1999 National Award for Women of Color in Tech­nol­ogy. She has con­ducted sem­i­nars and work­shops through­out the United States, Canada, South Africa and Israel. She has been the recip­i­ent of numer­ous awards — National 4-H Achieve­ment, Explor­ing Exec­u­tive Lead­er­ship, Amer­i­can Busi­ness Women’s Asso­ci­a­tion, YMCA Minor­ity Achiever, and Women of Excel­lence.

Doris is the author of five books – Seven Steps to Wealth, Finances & Spirituality, The Power of a New Attitude, Attitude: The Winner’s Edge, and Your Atti­tudes are Show­ing.
